After school sports are a great way for your children to have fun, stay fit, be safe, make new friends and learn after school!
Sports clubs can offer a range of fun exciting games to build confidence, social skills and improve fitness.
All are clubs are designed to make learning fun and encourage children to make new friends through sport.
Clubs are also often used to select/coach school sports teams for up and coming events – the key to success!
But which clubs should you encourage your child to join, and where can you find them?
Children attending the multi-skills & multi-sports sessions will develop their agility, balance, coordination, speed, running, throwing, hitting, catching and kicking skills.
During the multi-skills and multi-sports club children will have chance to try a range of sports including football, cricket, rounder’s, tri-golf, dodgeball, netball, hockey, tennis, plus many more.
During the cricket club children will learn a variety of different cricketing skills such as batting, bowling, catching, throwing, fielding positions and running between the wickets. Schools often book out specific sports clubs such as cricket to prepare children for school team events/competitions.
During the football club children will learn a variety of different football skills including dribbling, shooting, passing, team work & formations. Schools often book out specific sports clubs such as football to prepare children for school team events/competitions.
Change 4 Life Club (All ages)
A targeted intervention to encourage the less sporty pupils to participate in fun multi-sports activities as well as learn about healthy lifestyles.
During the dance club the children will learn a variety of dances including salsa, commercial, ballet, street and bhangra. Often working towards a school performance!
